Herefordshire-based indie band Pentire are set to continue making waves with their latest new music and UK touring plans. Pentire are a fully independent indie-rock band, making their way up the ladder the hard way and creating a lot of new fans as they do it. After the entirety of their 11-date 2024 UK tour sold out, Pentire announce an 8-show run in the biggest rooms of their career for February 2025, returning to adopted (student) hometown Bristol’s Thekla, alongside celebrated stages including Manchester’s Deaf Institute, Glasgow’s King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club, Newcastle’s Zerox, Sheffield’s Yellow Arch, Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms and Hackney’s Oslo. “Headlining in these venues seemed like a distant dream to us as kids making a racket in our bedrooms” says frontman and principle songwriter Jack Morgan “I mean to be playing our own show in the venue Alan McGee signed Oasis in is absolutely mad!” As for new music, Pentire hang this 2025 tour announcement on their first new single since ‘Don’t Let Your Love (Let You Down)’ which was the inaugural Scruff of the Neck singles club release back in February ‘24. New song ‘Love On TV’ is a celebration of the movie-like honeymoon phase of a new relationship with an infectious melody, clever lyrics and indie- rock danceability. Brought up on a diet of The Killers, Paolo Nutini and Stereophonics, frontman and principal songwriter Jack Morgan met his bandmates in the quiet town of Ross-on-Wye. The four-piece have recently toured with hot new bands such as milk. and LARKINS, smashed their own UK headline tour and launched a new EP ‘Now In A Minute’, with all four of their latest singles supported by BBC Radio 1’s influential Future Sounds show. The band are continuing to solidify their place in the indie music scene, offering a fresh take on modern pop that is both nostalgic and fresh. With support from tastemakers such as Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6Music), and John Kennedy (RadioX) in addition to Channel 4’s hit show ‘Made in Chelsea’, Pentire have built a fanbase by touring the UK relentlessly, pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and releasing indie-pop anthems that connect with the late teens and 20 somethings of today.
